Conyngham Food Pantry

Our local food pantry serves our community through the collective efforts of nine churches in the Sugarloaf Valley region, who support the pantry with donations, coordination, and volunteers.. It is run completely by volunteers who want to make this interfaith ministry succeed. Each week our food pantry serves around 60 families, providing them with nutritious food for their families as well as fresh food from local farms. They are always in need of food donations to help feed our community.

In October our church is gathering Thanksgiving stuffing for the food pantry so they can put together a Thanksgiving meal for all they help. They are always in need of general food donations as well. To donate food, simply drop it off at any of the churches within Conyngham. To drop off food in our church please put it in the shopping cart in our social hall. If you want to volunteer to help at the food pantry, or you know somebody who could use a little extra help with food, contact Billie Shaffer at 570-751-6028.

Our Homebound Needs

We have many people in our congregation and in our community who are homebound. There are various reasons that the members of our community are unable to leave their homes. But because they are unable to leave their home, they are in need of companionship, friendship, and company. We believe that Jesus calls us to comfort the lonely and those that society forgets. If you would like to help keep one of our community’s homebound members company, then please call the church office at 570-788-3960.
