SundaySchoolNewHere at Conyngham UMC we are committed to growing together in our faith regardless of age or ability. We have two general Sunday School programs here, one for kids and one for adults. Both our kids and adult Sunday School programs run from the fall through the spring. Both kids and adult Sunday School classes meet at 9:15 a.m. before worship each Sunday. The kids programs are currently split into two groups, one being for grades k-5 and the other being for grades 6-12, each in their own classrooms. Because of the range in ages of these groups, our teachers work with an excellent curriculum that is applicable to everyone in the age range. Our Adult Sunday School class meets each week around 9:15 a.m. in the church office. Adult Sunday School classes focus on interpreting Biblical Scripture, understanding historical features of the Scripture, and providing a meaningful message for use in our world today.

Confirmation

Confirmation is the process where youth learn to take their faith into their own hands, confirm what they truly believe, and become official members of the church. Our confirmation class is for those 12 and older who have not yet been confirmed in the church.  This class is designed to help our youth ask questions about their faith, God, the Church, the Bible, and life so they can figure out what they truly believe. We also teach in this class exactly what it means to be a Methodist and what it means to become members of the United Methodist Church. For each confirmation class we also plan a trip down to Philadelphia to learn about Methodist history in the USA. Our Confirmation class currently meets each Sunday at 4:00pm in the church social hall. The current class will last through early June 2022.

Rally Day

Each year to kick off the start of Sunday School we have Rally day. This is a time of fun, games, and fellowship that is fun for the whole family.
